2018 UROC Spring Showcase

Through the course ENVS 195, we were given the tools to conduct research on the effects of agricultural runoff on Elkhorn Slough. The Elkhorn Slough is an important ecosystem, joining where saltwater and freshwater connect. The slough is also located by various agricultural fields as well as a dairy farm. This project consisted of testing various sites along the slough for water quality. My colleagues and I conducted this research and is now an ongoing project for ENVS 195. Our research was presented at the Monterey Bay Water Forum 2017 and CSUMB's Spring Showcase.
